We have been designers and builders in the inner north of Melbourne for 50 years, specialising in small sites with difficult or complex restrictions, including underpinning and restumping.

We are experienced with new kitchens and bathrooms and can manage these without you moving out.

Alterations to existing homes, or maintenance and repairs, are all the bread and butter of our workforce.

A small team that stays close to your job.

The person who draws your plans is the same person who runs your job, and our own carpenters are on site every day.

Involved the whole way. You deal with the same people from the first conversation through design, permits, building and handover.
Hands-on with clients. Regular catch-ups on site, straight answers, and decisions explained before they're made, not after.
Good at the hard bits. Narrow sites, no rear access, shared walls, heritage overlays and whatever turns up once the walls are opened. We work through problems as they come up.

We take on a limited number of jobs at a time, so we're upfront early about whether we're the right builder for you.

Detailed quotes take real time to prepare (and may incur a cost), so we take a few steps to make sure we're the right fit beforehand.

If it suits both sides, we visit the house, look at access and restrictions, and talk through options.

If your drawings and permits are done, we can go straight to a detailed quote. If not, we start with a paid design stage.

We mostly work close to our Clifton Hill base - Fitzroy North, Northcote, Collingwood, Abbotsford, Fitzroy, Carlton North, Fairfield, Alphington, Brunswick East, Thornbury and nearby. Staying local means more time on your job and less time in traffic.
